Our company, founded in 1990 by Mr. Eyüp Kaya under the name CHT Tekstil Kimya, was renamed CHT Turkey Kimya in 2017 in line with the Group’s strategy. As we enter our 35th year, we mark this milestone with a leadership transition. As of 2025, our founder, Mr. Eyüp Kaya, will remain as the Chairman of the Board of CHT Turkey Kimya, while the role of General Manager has been handed over to Mrs. Canan Göktepe Doğan.
Mr. Eyüp Kaya was born in 1954 in Istanbul. After gratuating from Kadıköy Anadolu High School, he completed his BSc degree in Industrial Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU). A young man passionate about reading and learning, he began his professional career as an Industrial Engineer at Şişecam. Throughout different periods, he held various executive and entrepreneurial roles, including General Manager at Çamsan, Singapore Airlines Representative, owner of freight ship and General Manager at Kuzey Kimya and TUT Yapıştırıcı. In 1990, his path crossed with CHT GmbH, and recognizing the potential of the Turkish textile industry, he established CHT Tekstil Kimya as the representative of the CHT Group in Turkiye. In 1998, he laid the foundation of our factory in Esenyurt, which was inaugurated in 2000. Beyond making significant contributions to the textile industry, he built an innovative company that introduced cutting-edge chemical technologies. With his visionary ideas, Mr. Kaya played an active role in developing in-house software and artificial intelligence programs, process engineering software, innovative and sustainable chemistry technologies. In 2015, following the strategic decisions of the CHT Group, he transferred all his shares but continued his role as the General Manager of CHT Turkey.
Mr. Eyüp Kaya has always emphasized that the foundation of success lies in a strong organization. He has placed great importance on the personal development of CHT Turkey employees and encouraged an entrepreneurial spirit within the company. We extend our deepest gratitude and respect to Mr. Eyüp Kaya for creating such a fulfilling and inspiring work environment where we have enjoyed the journey of working and achieving success together.
Taking over the role of General Manager from Mr. Eyüp Kaya, Ms. Canan Göktepe Doğan has been a part of CHT Turkey for 21 years, working in various departments within the company. Born in 1978 in Zonguldak, Ms. Doğan graduated from METU with a degree in Chemistry and completed her master’s in Polymer Chemistry at the same university. In 2017, she further pursued an Executive MBA at Istanbul University. We take pride and excitement in appointing a female General Manager following many women leaders in different roles in our company, where women’s employment and principles of equality-driven management are highly valued. Having long served as the CTO, responsible for technology and business development at CHT Turkey, we believe that Mrs. Canan Göktepe Doğan will continue to drive the company’s success and growth. We wish her all success in her new role.
